favorable to the breeds of dogs that are often seen as, among those most <br />aggressive, warn of allowing such dogs to be able to interact with other dogs in <br />uncontrolled environments; and <br />WHEREAS, in light of the other resources, materials, studies and literature <br />reviewed in connection herewith, a review of the current code provisions of the <br />City's Animal Control Codes revealed a need to enhance the enforcement tools <br />to more effectively address dangerous dog cases; and <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend the provisions of Chapter 6.35 of <br />the Auburn City Code accordingly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, <br />WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE. That Chapter 6.35 of the City <br />of Auburn Code is amended to read as follows: <br />Chapter 6.35 <br />DANGEROUS DOGS <br />Sections: <br />6.35.010 Dangerous dogs and related definitions. <br />6.35.020 Dangerous dogs — Notice to owners — Right of appeal — <br />Certificate of registration required — Surety bond — Liability <br />insurance — Restrictions. <br />6.35.030 Dangerous dogs and potentially dangerous dogs — <br />Requirements for restraint. <br />6.35.035 Registration of potentially dangerous dogs. <br />6.35.040 Dangerous dogs — Confiscation — Conditions — Duties of <br />animal control authority — Penalties. <br />6.35.010 Dangerous dogs and related definitions. <br />Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions in this section <br />apply throughout this chapter: <br />A.
