ORDINANCE NO. 6763 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO BUILDING <br /> CODES, AND AMENDING SECTIONS 15.04.080, 15.04.090, <br /> 15.06.010, 15.07.010, 15.07.20, 15.07.030, 15.07.050, <br /> 15.07.080, 15.07.090, 15.07.100, 15.07.110, 15.07.130, <br /> 15.08A.011, 15.08A.041, 15.08A.051, 15.36A.011, <br /> 15.36A.031, 15.36A.041, 15.36A.045, 15.36A.063, <br /> 15.36A.091, 15.48.040, AND 15.74.050, ADDING NEW <br /> SECTIONS TO CHAPTERS 15.36A AND 15.20, AND <br /> REPEALING SECTIONS 15.06.020, 15.06.040, 15.06.050 <br /> 15.36A.025, 15.36A.041 AND CHAPTER 15.38A OF THE <br /> AUBURN CITY CODE <br /> WHEREAS, the Auburn City Code includes a variety of chapters adopting various <br /> codes related to the building of structures; <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Washington promulgates some of these codes, updates <br /> them periodically, and requires, through RCW 19.27, that local jurisdictions to adopt and <br /> implement the standard codes; <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Washington has promulgated updated codes and has <br /> approved them for adoption by local jurisdictions; and <br /> WHEREAS, city staff and VRFA staff have reviewed the city's building-related <br /> codes, have identified amendments to update or supplemented these codes, and have <br /> identified desired amendments to the provisions of the State-adopted codes; and <br /> WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 6744, the city council removed from Chapter 15.20 <br /> the amendments to the International Property Maintenance Code and moved them to <br /> Chapter 15.06. However, later revisions to the code revealed that relocating the <br /> amendments back into Chapter 15.20 is more consistent with the overall organization of <br /> title 15 and clearer. <br /> Ordinance No. 6763 <br /> January 4, 2021 <br /> Page 1 of 63 Rev 2021 <br />
