Rich Wagner, Councilmember Pat Burns, and Councilmember Mike Weekley. Staff in
attendance were Public Works Director Frank A. Currie, Assistant Public Works Director
Alice I. Conrad, and Airport Manager John Anderson.
ISSUES
A. ORDINANCE NO. 4603, PERTAINING TO PARKING LIMITATIONS ON
PUBLIC STREETS WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN AREA
Public Works Director Frank A. Curfie gave a brief explanation of the
Ordinance prepared for the parking time limited within the downtown area.
The Committee forwarded their recommendation for approval to the Council to
be considered at their January 18, 1993 meeting.
B. CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - CONTRACT 92-15 - TO R.W. SCOTT
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY - STORM IMPROVEMENT NO. 44
Assistant Public Works Director Alice I. Conrad described the construction
changes, and the Committee forwarded a recommendation for approval to the
Council to be considered at the January 18, 1993 meeting.
C. FINAL PAY ESTIMATE NO. 4 - STORM IMPROVEMENT NO 44,
CONTRACT 92-15, PROJECT 503 - TO R.W. SCOTF CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($2,124.80)
Assistant Public Works Director Alice I. Conrad described the project
conclusions and the need for final pay estimate approval. The Committee
forwarded a recommendation for approval to the Council to be considered at the
January 18, 1993 meeting.
D. RESOLUTION NO. 2368 - AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT VvTH-I W & H PACIFIC, AUTHORIZED BY
RESOLUTION NO. 2245
Airport Manager John Anderson described the intended work to be done, and
the Committee forwarded a recommendation for approval to the Council to be
considered at the January 18, 1992 meeting.
DISCUSSION/INFORMATION
A. There was a general information sharing and discussion concerning (1) an
upcoming meeting in the Lake Tapps area for an introduction to the Pierce
County Transportation Plan and (2) the issues to be discussed with the Planning
and Community Development Committee related to the preservation of existing
buildings within the City residential areas.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at
6:00 p.m.
