were Committee Chairman Rich Wagoner, Councilmember Pat Burns,
and Councilmember Mike Weekley, and Councilmember Don Kurle.
Staff in attendance were Public Works Director Frank A. Currie,
Assistant Public Works Director Alice I. Conrad, City Engineer
Dennis Dowdy, Senior Engineer Dennis Selle, Airport Manager John
Anderson. Bruce Creagen, Senior Planner for Barghassen Engineers
was also in attendance.
ISSUES
A. RESOLUTION NO. 2427, PARTIAL RELEASE OF SLOPE, DRAINAGE
AND PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
B. RESOLUTION NO. 2428, RELEASE OF ACCESS AND DRAINAGE
EASEMENT
BOth issues were discussed together as they are related to the
ARCO mini mart construction project on the NW corner of 15th
Street NE-NW and "A" Street NE. Dennis Selle describe the
request for the release of the easements and explained that the
construction activity and use of the site has eliminated the need
for the entire easement area. Mr. Selle assured the Committee
that the remaining 10' easement will be satisfactory for our
utility access purposes. Motion was made by Councilman Burns and
seconded by Councilman Weekley to forward these Resolutions to
the City Council with a recommendation for approval. Motion was
passed unanimously.
C. RESOLUTION NO. 2429, OBSTRUCTION REMOVAL CONTRACT AT
AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Airport Manager John Anderson explained the need for the contract
and the purposed action for removal of brush and trees on the
west side of the runway. Councilman Burns questioned any
expected impacts to wetlands and Mr. Anderson clarified that the
contractor will be using removal methods which are sensitive to
wetlands. Councilmember Burns made the motion to forward a
recommendation for approval of this Resolution to the City
Council. The motion was seconded by Councilman Weekley and
passed unanimously.
CONSENT
A. RIGHT-OF-WAY USE PERMIT FOR AUBURN CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE/AUBURN DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION - STREET CLOSURE
FOR BOAT SHOW AND KIDS DAY JULY 30 AND 31, AND FOR
SIDEWALK SALE JULY 28 THROUGH AUGUST 1, 1993.
B. RIGHT-OF-WAY USE PERMIT FOR AUBURN GOOD 'OL DAYS FROM
5:00 PM AUBURN 20 UNTIL 6:00 PM AUGUST 22, 1993.

Both items were considered by the committee and unanimously
approved after a motion was made by Councilman Burns and seconded
by Councilman Weekley.
INFORMATION OR DISCUSSION
A. CONTINUED BRIEFING AND REVIEW OF THE SIX-YEAR PLAN
DEVELOPMENT
Dennis Selle went over the material that was distributed during
last committee meeting as well as new handouts which included a
copy of last years street plan, a spread sheet of project funding
by year, and a list of projects which were on last years plan but
are no longer on the current plan. The committee considered each
item on the priority list and staff members addressed questions
and concerns as they were raised.
ADJOURN
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
