A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, MAKING FINDINGS AND AUTHORIZING
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FROM THE SOLE SOURCE
PROVIDER
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Fire Department has recently completed a
review of exhaust ventilation systems for fire station apparatus bays;
WHEREAS, as a result of that review, and in light of the City's needs, the
equipment that would meet the City's requirements is available from only one
source, Plymovent; and
WHEREAS, the apparatus exhaust ventilation system available from
Plymovent is the only system that would provide a 100% source capture of
particulate and that includes a sealed air bladder connection to the exhaust and
the sealed mechanical fan, so as to ensure 100% of the exhaust contaminants are
safely evacuated from the apparatus bay work area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council finds that the apparatus exhaust
ventilation system from Plymovent constitutes the sole source, and that any
purchasing policy or bidding requirements under state law or City policy would not
apply.

Section 2. That the Mayor or designee is authorized to pursue pumhase
of the Plymovent apparatus exhaust ventilation systems, with an estimated cost of
$43,710 (Forty-three Thousand Seven Hundred Ten Dollars) plus tax, per system.
Section 3. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall take effect and be
in full fome upon passage and signatures hereon.
