Home My WebLink About4707 RESOLUTION NO. 4 7 0 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CIN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A, LOCAL AGENCY SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY . OF AUBURN AND WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATING TO PROJECT NO. C207A, A STREET NW EXTENSION WHEREAS, under City, of Auburn Resolution Nos. 3852 and 4587, the City had pceviously obligated $3,567,540.00 in federal grant funds and entered into a Local Agency Agreement and Supplemental Agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportafion ("WSDOT") to fund the City's design and right- of-way acquisition phases for roadway improvements on `A' Street NW befinreen 3rd Street NW and 14"' Street NW ("Project"); and WHEREAS, .the City is now preparing to begin the construction phase of the Project; and ' WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a Federal Highway Administration Transportation grant for construction of the Project from Demonstration funding sources in the amount of $1,234,800.00; and WHEREAS, the Demonstration grant does not require a local funding match, and WHEREA$, it is in the best interest of the City to use federal monies to finance capital improvements to the transportation_ system. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Supplemental Local Agency Agreement between the City and Washington State Department of Transportation for the Construction Phase in the totat amount of $6,676,515, in substantial conformity with the agreement attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "AA and incorporated herein by this reference. In addition, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any further necessary supplemental agreements for all future phases of the Project. expending up to the total remaining amount of all the federal grants. ; Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary :to carry out the directions of this legislation.
