A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO THEAMENDMENT OF
THE 2009;2010 AND 2011 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN UPDATES OF
THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Aubum was designated as an entitlemerrt community
by the U.S. Department of Nousing and Urban Development (HUD) for its
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS, the primary objective of the Consolidated Plan and CDBG
Program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent
housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities,.
principally for persons of low- and moderate-income; and
WHEREAS, to reallocate funds from prioryears' projects which are not active
a substantial amendment must be made to the Plan, the City of Aubum must amend
the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Action Plans for its Consolidated Plan that serves
as a federally required planning document to guide the City of Auburn's human
service and community development efforts; and
WHEREAS, the planning process to develop the Consolidated Plan invotved
citizen participation and guidance from non-profit and govemmental agencies
serving low income residents in the community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aubum heard and considered
public comment about its proposed use of Community Development Block Grant
funds and amendment to the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Action Plans;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE TO:
Section 1. The City hereby amends the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Action
Plans and adopts the amendment to its 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Action Plan
Updates to the Consolidated Plan
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorizetl to implement such administrative
p�ocedures as may be necessary to carry out directions of the legislation.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon passage and
signatures hereon.
