'-~ 775 o R DIN AN C E., N O. 77ii: AN ORDINANCE vaoating alley extending in a northerly and southerly direotion through blook 2 in Ballard's Commeroial Addition to Auburn, King County, Washington. VffiEREAS, on the 10th day of Deoember, 1936, there was filed in the offioe of the oity clerk of the City of Auburn a petition of Arthur C. Ballard and Jane C, Ballard, addressed to the mayor and oity oouncil of said oity, praying for the vaoation of the alley hereinafter desoribed; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of all of the private property abutting upon said alley so proposed to be vaoatedj and V~S, the oity oouncil of the City of Auburn did at a regu- lar meeting of said city oouncil held on the 10th day of Deoember, 1936, adopt a resolution fixing Tuesday evening, January 5,1937, at 8:00 P.M., at the oity hall in the City of Auburn, King County, Washington, as the time and place when and where said petition would be heard and determined; and \~AS, due notice of the pendenoy of said petition and of the time and place of the said hearing thereof has been given in the manner prescribed by law, and proof by affidavit of the posting of notioes of the purpose, time, and place of suoh hearing on the 14th day of December, 1936, in three of the most public plaoes in the City of Auburn and a like notice in a oonspicuous plaoe on the alley so proposed to be vaoated, all in the manner presoribed by law, is now on file with the city olerk of the City of Auburn; and V~, the city oounoil of the City of Auburn, at a regular meeting of said oity oouncil held at the oity hall in the City of Auburn on January 5,1937, at 8:00 P. M. duly oontinued the hearing upon said petition to vacate to the 19th day of January, 1937 , at 8:00 P.M. at the city hall in said oity; and WHEREAS, said petition was brought on regularly for hearing before the oity counoil'of the City of Auburn on said 19th day of January, 1937, at 8:00 P.M., at the city hall in the City of Auburn, pursuant to said posted notioes and said adjournment of hearing, and all persons wishing to be heard on said petition were given an opportunity to be heard, and no person appeared in opposition of the granting of said petitionj NOW, THEREFORE, THE OITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Seotion 1. That all the alley extending in a northerly and southerly direotion through blook 2 in Ballard's Commercial Addi- tion to Auburn, King County, Washington, be and the same hereby is vaoated.
