", ORDINANCE NO. 780 An ordinanoe relating to the licensing and regulation of bil- liard tables, pool tables and card tables, and amending section 2 of ordinanoe no. 473 of the ordinanoes of the City of Auburn. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Seotion 1. That section 2 of ordinanoe no. 473 of the ordinan- ces of the City of Auburn entitled "An Ordinance: providing revenue, defining a'plaGe of 'publio resort' , providing for the taxing, lioensing and regulation of billiard tables, pool tables and oard tables kept therein, deGlaring it to be unlawful to keep any billiard tables, pool tables or card tables in a place of publio resort without first paying suoh tax and obtaining suoh lioense, presoribing penalties for viola- tions hereof, providing for the revocation of suoh license, and repeal- ing ordinance no. 144 of the ordinanoes of the City of Auburn" be, and the same is hereby amended so that as amended, said seotion 2 shall read as follows: . "Seotion 2: (a) That any person, firm or oorporation de- siring a license to keep one or more billiard and, or, pool tables in any plaG6 of public resort in the City of Auburn during any calendar year beginning on January 1 or during any part of such oalendar year shall first pay in- to the oity treasury of the City of Auburn a lioense fee as follows: For three or less suoh billiard tables and, or, pool tables the sum of $15.00, and for each additional billiard table or pool tables in exoess of three suoh ta- bles the sum of $5.00; and that upon filing with the oity olerk the city treasurer's reoeipt for the amount of any suoh lioense fee or fees the oity olerk shall issue a pro- per lioense permit for suoh calendar year. (b) That any person, firm or oorporation desiring a license to keep one or more oard tables in any plaoe of public resort in the City of Auburn shall first pay into the city treasury of the City of Auburn a lioense fee as follows: For one oard table the sum of $1.00 ~er annum, and for eaoh additional oard table the sum of ~.50 per annum~ and that upon filing with the city olerk the city treasurer's receipt for the amount of any such li- cense fee or fees for a period of one year, the oity olerk shall issue a proper lioense permit for the period of one year."
