.AN ORDINA..~CE: Fixing the amounts of tax levies
neoessary to raise the a~ounts of the estimated expenditures
of the City of Auburn for the year 1938, less the amounts of
estimated revenues from souroes other than taxation, inoluding
available surplus, and suoh expenditures as are to be met from
bonds and warrant issues, local improvement guaranty fund, and
the expenditures for salaries and wages, maintenance, opera-
tion ~nd oapital outlay of and for the public library of the
Ci ty of Auburn, all for the yoar 1938. ~
\1HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn has
heretofore, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 158 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington for the year 1923, and
the laws of said state supplemental thereto and amendatory
thereof, duly fixed and determined separately eaoh item of the
budget of the City of Auburn for the year 1938, and by ordin-
ance duly adopted said budget as so fixed and deter~ned;
NOVl, THEREFORE, in order to raise by general taxa-
tion the moneys as provided for in said bUdGet adopted by
ordinanoe as aforesaid,

FOLWWS :
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied upon
all of the real and personal property situated within the
~resent oorporate limits~of the City of Auburn, as shovm upon
the assessment rolls of King County, Uashincton for the year
A. D. 1937, as equalized and fixed by the county and state
boards of equalization, taxes for the following fUnds of the
City of Auburn as follows:
