ORDINANCE NO. 802
AN ORDINANCE: Requiring all meats sold, offered for
sale, or exposed for sale, for human oonsumptionJwithin the
~orporate limits of the City of Auburn to have been prev-
iously offioially inspeoted, deolaring any violation there-
of to be a misdemeanor and presoribing penalties for viola-
tt tions thereof.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Seotion 1. That this ordinance is deemed expedient and nec-
essary to maintain the peaoe, good government and welfare
of the City of Auburn, and its trade, oommeroe and manufao-
tures, and the health of the inhabitants of said oity.
SeGtion 2. That it shall be unlawful for any person to sell,
offer or expose for sale for human oonsumption within the
oorporate limits of the City of Auburn, Washington, any
meat, raw, piokled, or amoked; or any products thereof, un-
less suoh meat or the produGt thereof has been inspeoted,
stamped and oertified as to its fitness for human food by
an authorized inspeotor of the Bureau of Animal Industry,
United States Department of Agriculture, or by an Approved
Veterinary Inspeotor of the State of Washington as provided
by the Rules and Regulations of the Washington State Board
of Health.

Section 3. That any person who shall violate the provisions
of Section 2 of this ordinanGe shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon oonviotion thereof shall be punished by
a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by
imprisonment for a term of not more than thirty (30) days or
by both suoh fine and imprisonment.
