A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, TO PROVIDE
AN ADDRESS CHANGE FOR 35 CITY OWNED AND
OPERATED PARK PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, Aubum City Code (ACC) Chapter 15.52 concerning the
assignment of specific building and property addresses provides authority to the
Building Official to develop and administer the City's Addressing Policies; and
WHEREAS, ACC Section 15.52.055 provides that petitions for address
changes may be initiated by a City department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation DepaRment has
petitioned for the renumbering of 35 park properties, which are all properties
owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official has approved the renumbering request,
and public safety representatives of the City's address committee are in
concurrence with the Building Official 4hat the petitioner's request will not inhibit
public safety; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
Section 1. That the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to
eliminate the existing building number and/or street assignments listed in the
below table and replace those with the proposed numbers and/or street
assignments shown in the table, provided that those numbers shall meet the
requirements of Auburn City Code Chapter 15.52 and all current and future

Section 2. That the Mayor, or her designee, shail provide written
notification of the address changes to all pertinent governmental agencies such
as the County Assessor Departments, the U. S. Postal Service, City
Departments, Valley Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Energy, utility
districts, telecommunication providers, mapping companies, and solid waste
disposal purveyors, and is authorized to implement such other administrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry ouYthe directives of this legislation.
