Call To Order � A. President Kim Perry asked that the minutes be reviewed. They were accepted as mailed. B. Director Patricia Cosgrove presented a brief power point for the Museology 101 segment of the meeting on the process of making changes to a King County Landmark property such as the Mary Olson farm.The example she used was moving the proposed sani[ation area gra0el pad through the King , Counry Landmarks Commission Design Review Committee—a positive process that we do each time we li propose to make any changes to the Farm. � II. Cammittees A. Treasurer Jamie Bothell reviewed the Monthly Financial Sta[ement and made the point that we are on budget as forecast.The treasurer's report was unanimously approved. I B. Chair Joan Mason and Curator of Collections Hilary Pittenger presented recommendations from the Collections Management Committee. Hilary said we have some new exciting items this month � including a photo of the Evens family farmhouse, a number of post cards addressed to the Olson family at j the Olson Farm, a reference book that lists every reilroad that was ever incorporeted in the State of ! Washington published by the Washington State Railroad Historical Association.The full report of recommendations is attached to these minutes in the Museum files. C. Committee Chair Kim Perry asked board members, by team, to report on the development of Live Auction items for the Halloween Costume Ball. It is hoped that four or five live auction items will be put together and some good progress is being made. The board broke up into groups to diswss silent auction items and began to determine what variety was needed and how ro prowre those items. Ronnie suggested a 50/50 raffle a[the start of the Halloween Ball using yellow 5100 bus coupons as prizes for the winners to be used at the silent or live auction only. Unused or residual would be a donation ro the Mary Olson Farm directly. i Rachael announced that this year's theme will be Las Vegas. Ronnie pointed out that based on the multitude of themes seen at Various casinbs this is wide open for cos[ume opportunities. i III. Staff Report I Patritia briefly reported that muth good work is going on at the Farm all supported by our State grant: installation of a sprinkler system in the Farmhouse yard and new plantings in the yard and orchard. I eoard member Stott Gibbons arranged for 11 new hives of bees to be moved into new boxes at the Farm, I with the help of our friends at Green River Community College. Also, thanks to the Auburn Adventist I Academy for their work party that removed key invasive species near the stream. � IV.
