Call to Order• The meeting was called to order at 2:04 pm by Warren Olson
Review of Tuesday, February 9, 2016 Miautes: The February 9, 2016 Minutes
were moved for approval.
Old Business:
o Gapon Monument- Special meeting held on 'I�aesday, March 8, 2016 with
Vladimir Gapon. No comments about the decision. Cemetery added a note to
the price lists `All Markers Must Be Made Of Granite or Bronze° and Craig is •
also working on a piece of granite with same message that will be displayed
in the cemetery office to avoid any confusion in the future. Minutes from this
meeting were moved for approval.
• Easter Sunrise Service - Bleachers and canopies were set up in the 6+h
addition. The service had over 140 people, it didn't rain and the Messiah
Lutheran Church offered the service. Cemetery provided coffee and donuts.
New Busiaesa:
• Memory Heights Progress - It looks really nice and it's in process to have
irrigation soon. It needs to be mowed and the area is coming along really
well. It will give a unique look to the cemetery There are a couple trees to
take down to open up the view After the irrigation is in a final map will be
drawn for that area. The area has about 640 full traditional plots for now
• Seasonal Employees - 2 seasonal employees and 1 more to be hired to do a
lot of the line trimming. They are hired for 5 '/� months.
e Pond Landscape - Planting and working on the landscape.
e New Sod Cutter - This new piece of equipment will save time and prevent
staCf from injuries. It will also give the graveside a nice clean look by cutting
and rolling sod to the side and covering it with greens. Price of the sod cutter
was less than $4,500 ,
. 2017-2018 Budget - Meetings will start in May to stazt that process.
Cemetery budget doesn't change much but hopping to get a couple mowers
and new equipment.
• Memorial Day - To get ready for Memorial Day it is planned to repair or
replace a concrete fence that is sloughing on the bank There is a need of a
Chapiain for invocation and benediction. Memorial Day will be on May 30
this year
Reports:
e Budget Update - Revenues for ground plots sales (at need & pre-need),
burials, markers, upright memorials and trusts. February broke cemetery
record and March was even higher
February 2016 $ 139,983.22
Mazch 2016 � $ 231,358.50
