HomeMy WebLinkAbout5386 RESOLUTION NO. 5386 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE 2019-2024 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF AUBURN PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 35.77 OF THE REVISED CODE OF WASHINGTON. WHEREAS, the City is required to include projects on the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to be eligible to collect traffic impact fees to fund the portion of the project cost associated with future growth; and WHEREAS, as required by RCW 35.77.010, the City held a public hearing to consider amending the City's 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program on November 5, 2018 at the 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall. Notice of the meeting was published in the City's legal newspaper on October 18, 2018; and WHEREAS, after consideration of the staff recommendation and public testimony, the City Council believes it is in the best interest of the City to adopt the updated TIP. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The City Council adopts the 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program in substantially the same form as shown in Exhibit "A." Resolution No. 5368 September 14, 2018 Page 1 Section 2. The City Engineer is directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Washington State Department of Transportation for filing not more than thirty (30) days after the adoption of this Resolution. Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to implement those administrative procedures necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 4. This Resolution will take effect and be in full force upon passage and signatures.
