CALL TO ORDER HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES September 30, 2022 The Human Services Committee meeting was called to order by at 11:03 pm on Friday, September 30, 2022 via Zoom. Committee Members present: Janeane La Casse, Kelly Lindberg, Sue Miller, Suzanne Pak, Shawn Parkhurst Paton, Erica Tomas Staff present: Human Service Program Coordinator- Kyla Wright Absent: Jason Berry, Carmen Goers, II. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS III. PUBLIC INPUT, PUBLIC HEARINGS, AND CORRESPONDENCE Public Hearing regarding the 2023 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan. There was no public input or correspondence received. IV. OTHER BUSINESS a. 2023-2024 Funding Recommendation Overview b. CDBG Funding Solid Ground- Housing Stability Program proposed as program to receive $92,112 in CDBG funding for 2023 and 2024. c. Contingency Funding A motion for Contingency Funding should Salvation Army not be able to meet the terms of the funding contract, their award amount would go the Auburn Food Bank- Financial Support program was put forward by Committee Member Sue Miller. The motion was seconded by Committee Member Erica Tomas. All Committee Members voted in favor of the Contingency Funding measure. d. Human Services Committee Funding Recommendation Vote Committee Member Erica Tomas made a motion for the Human Services Committee for the 2023-2024 funding structure to be recommended in the Human Services budget as presented with the correction to the $603.00 adjusted from the Housing Stability Priority Area and with the Contingency Funding option included for a total of $1,195,000.00. Committee Member Janeane La Casse seconded this motion. All Committee Members voted in favor of the Contingency Funding measure. V. ANNOUNCEMENTS • Draft Recommendations will be presented to City Council on October 10, 2022 • The next regular meeting will be held November 28, 2022. VI.
