City Council to adopt Resolution No. 5745.
Background for Motion:
The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office requires the City to enter into
agreement with them in the event the grant is approved to accept the funds.
Background Summary:
The Parks Department has applied for a $100,000 deferred Park Maintenance Grant from the
Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to fix the manifold system of
the splash pad at Les Gove Park.
The underground manifold system at the splash pad at Les Gove is past it's end of useful life and
leaks during the summer months when the splash pad is open. If the City receives the grant it
would allow the system to be brought up to modern standards and be above ground to allow for
proper maintenance.
