AN ORDINANCE vacating:
"H" Street N.E., from its junction with Main Street East, to
its junction with 4th Street North East,' Auburn~ King County~

"I" Street NoE., from the north boundary of the alley on the
south end of Blocks i and 2, Poplarwood Addition to Auburn,
north to its jUnction with 4th Street N.E., AubUrn, King
County, Washington,
2nd Street N.E., from its junction with "H" Street N.E., east
to the N & S center dividing line of Blocks 2 and 3, Poplar-
wood Addition to Auburn~ King County, Washington.
3rd Street N.E., from its junction with "H" Street N.E., west
356 feet, more ~or less, to the boundary of School District No.
408 at its junction with the south boundary of 3rd Street NoE.,
Auburn, King County, Washington~
and directing that the streets so vacated shall vest in aid shall belong
to tho abutting property owners, a~
~WHE~EAS,~ heretofore, to-wit, on the 5th day of August, 1947, there
was ziled with the City Clerk of the City of Auburn~ a petition addressed
to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Auburn, praying for the
vacation of the portions of the streets abov? set forth, which p~tition
was signed by the owners of more than two'th~rds (2/)) of the private
property abutting upon the streets so sought to be vacated, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, at its regular
meeting held on the 5th day of August, 1947~ after hearing said petition
read and duly considering the same, duly passed and adopted a resolution
fixing the 2nd day of September,.t947, at 8:00 PoM. at the Council
~hambers of the Council of the C~ty of Auburn, City. Hall, Auburn, Wash-
· ngton, as-the time and place when and where said petition should be
heard and determined by said Council~ and
WHEREAS~ at said time and place two persons.

terested in said petition~ and said hearing was continued until November
4, 1947~the Council Chambers of the Council of the City of Auburn, City
Hall, Auburn, Washington~ at 8:00 o'clock PoMo Being the time and place
when said petition should be further heard and notices ha'~ing been posted
on said original hearing and on said continued hearing on November 4, 1947~
and satisfactory proof having been submitted to {he City Council of the
City of Auburn that the City Clerk of said City of Auburn posted all legal
notices~' the Same being a typewritten notice set up in three of the most
public places in said City of Auburn, and a like notice in a conspicuous
place on each street~so sought to be vacated~ and stated -~he time and
place fixed for ~he hearing of said petition,.as aforeSaid, and an affida-
vit having been filed in this cause by said C~ty Clerk, and
WHEREAS, said petition came on regularly to be heard before the City
Council of the City of Auburn at a regular meeting in the Council-Chambers
of the Cit~ Council of the City of Auburn, on the 4th day of November~
1947~ at 8.00 o'clock P.M.~ and a public hearing being held~ and all
persons interested in said proposed street vacation being individually
polled by the City Clerk~ and all consenting to said proposed vacations,
and it appearing that it would be to the best interest of said City to
vacate said streets ment±oned heretofore,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY,
OF AUBURN:
Section 1. That the following portions of streets in the City of
Auburn, King County, Washington:
"H" Street N.Eo, from its junction with Main Street East., to
its junction with 4th Street North East.
"I" Street N.E., from the north boundary of the alley on. the
south end of Blocks i and 2~ Poplarwood Addition 'to Auburn~
north to its junction with 4th Street N.E.
2nd Street N.E., from its junction with "H" Street N.E., east
to the N & S center dividing line of Blocks 2 and 3, Poplar-
wood Addition to Auburn.
3rd Street N.E.~ from its junction with "H" Street N.E.~,west
356 feet, more or less~ to the boundary of School District No.

be and the same hereby are~ vacated, and the streets so vacated shall
belong to and vest in the abutting property owners, one-half (1/2)
to eacho
Section 2o That this Ordinance shall.take effect and be in force
five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as
quired by law.
