sheep and other domestic ani1~s~on)over or across any pUb~ic street~
al.ley)parlc or place within the corporate 'limi.ts of the City of AUburn~
and providing penalties for violations hereof.
The City Counci"l of the City at AUburn del' ordain as 1'0'3:1__:
Section -1.. It shall be unlawtul tor any p.erson or persons"firm or
corporation,whether as agent"serv:ant,;owner or otherw1sell,to h-er~ or
caUSf! to bg. herded) drive or cause to be driven,.any cattle)ohorses,.sheep
or otl1er domestic animals,.on"over or across any PUblic street~a.J.:ley"park
aIfPlace wi thin the corporate limi.ts of the City a't AUburn without hav1ng
fIrst obtained a written permit therefor trom the Chief at POllce of
said City as provided in .action 2 at this Ordinance.
Section 2.. :aerore issuing a permit as mentioned in Section .1 of
this Ordinance,it Shall be the dUty at the Chief of Police to tnvestigate
the ap)l:.t.cat1on theref~nd. to satisty himself that the animals mention--
ed in lec.tion .1 of this Ordinance will be accompanied by a suff1ctent
ntunber of experienced herders or drivers at SUch animals to at all t1nles
keep all of Such animals upon those portions of the pUb'lic streets and
al.leys of th.S City of AUburn reserved for vehicular traffic. EaCh such
permit Shall be printed or in writing, Shall state the day and hours
upon WhiCh and between WhiCh such animals Shall be herded or driven,the
name or names of the parson)persons,party or parties to Whom SUCh permit
is issUed,and shal~ be signed by the Chier at PO~1.ce.
