FeR THE ANNEXATION OF' A CONTIGUOUS AREA OF LAND LYING ADJACENT TO 'THE EASTERLY NARGINAL LINE OF THE EXIST!:'JG CITY LIrV!ITS OF' THE. CITY OF AUBURN TO TRE CITY OF AUBURN, WEICH LAND IS DB;SCRIBED IN A PETITION DULY B'ILb;D 'taTE 'rHb CITY CLERK OF THE CI'rY OF AUBURN. WH&qbAS, a petition forannexation of the property hereinafter des- cribed was duly filed with the City of Auburn, by filing with the City Clerk on the 16th day of December, 1958, which petition was signed by the owners of more than 75% in value of all the property lying within the limits of the proposed area to be annexed, according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for whicb an annexation is pAtitioned, said petition setting forth the legal description of the property to be annexed and being accompanied by a plat outlining the boundaries of said petition sought to be annexed, and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn fixed a date for a public hearing to be held at 8:00 P.M. in the City Hall in the City of Auburn on January 6, 1959, setting forth notice of said public hearing for annexation to be published in the official city newspaper of the City of ~uburn in one issue of said newspaper, and providing for the posting in three public places within the area proposed for annexation a copy of said notice of public hearing, and, 1~}jEREAS, notice of public hearing of S8 id peti tion of annexation to the City of Auburn has been duly published in the official city newspaper of the City of Auburn in one regular issue of said newspaper, and the said notice of public hearing having been posted in three (3) public places within the area proposed for annexation by the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, and said public hearing being held at 8:00 P.M. in the City Hall of the Ci ty of Auburn on January 6, 1959, and the Ci ty Council of the Ci ty of Auburn having determined that said public hearing is in the best interest and welfare of the City of Auburn to annex the contiguous area proposed for annexation hereinafter described, and, 'ymEREAS, the City' Council did accept and approve the peti tion above described on the 16th day of December, 1958, 8nd did at that time fix a date for public hearing to be held on January 6, 1959, NOW, THEP~ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TF~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 'wASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: Fage One . :1 '.. . That the petition for annexation of the following des~ cribed property has been duly and properly filed with the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, and complies with all requirements of law. Section 2. That the regular motion adopted and passed by the City Council on the16th day of December, 1958, it was ordered that a public hearing be held on said petition for annexation at 3:00 P.M. in the City RaIl of the City of Auburn on January6, 1959, and providing for the proper \ notice to be published and posted according to law. Section 3. That proper notice of public hearing was duly published in the official city newspaper of the city of Auburn on the 25th day of December, 1958, and was duly posted in three (3) public places witbin the area proposed for annexation hereinafter described, and that e public bearing WB8 held at e:OO F.11. in the City Hall of the City of Auburn on the 6th day of January, 1959. Section 5. That the effective date of the annexation of the above described property shall be as of tl:ie d ate of passage of this ordinance providing for such annexation. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
