1928. for the purpose of exterm{hating ear'c\Tigs; and
WHEREAS King iJounty has made provision to appropriate certain
moneys to combat the ear';vig menace in said County during the ~7ear 1928 t
and the City of Auburn has made provision to appropriate certain r;lOneys
to com'bat the earwig menace in the Oi t~7 of Auburn d.uring tl1e year 1928;

Section 1. This entLce Ordinance shall be deemed an exercise
of the police pov/er of tl.e state of .iashingtoYl and of tbe City of Auburn
and is dE'emed expedient to maintain the peace t good government and welfa..ce

Section 3. Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by fine in any sum
not exceeding One Hundred (,~lOO.OOJ Dollars. or b~l imprisonn-;,ent in the
City jail for a term not exceeding thirty (...10) clays. or by both such fine
and imprisonment.
