AN ORDINANCE Relating to the closing and opening of oertain plaoes
of business and public amusement and providing penaltie..
THE CITY COUNCIL 01' THE CITY 01' ADBtJ.RN DO OBDAIB AS FOLLOWS:
Seotion 1. That it shall be unlawful for ~ person, firm, or corpor-
ation, engaged in the business of maintaining any billiard hall, pool hall, card
room, "18&1 ,..LO'nt or bowling alley, to keep such place, of business open to the
publio or to permit any b~8iB#~ games of skill or chance to be carried on
therein, at any time, between the hour ot ,,: S'l o'clock f~,<rn _ and the
hour of ~ 0 · clock A..M. of the following day.
Section 2. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate the
provisions of this Ordinance .ball be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall
be punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) or by imprisonment
for a term of not less than five (5) day., or by both such fine and iDJprisonment.
Seotion 3. That Ordinance Bo. 294 of the ordinances of the Oi ty of
Auburn is hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance ahall take effect and be in force
five (5) days from and after lts passage, approval and publioation as required
by law.
