<br />',~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, ,. <br /> <br />F <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />......... - '! <br /> <br />o R DIN A NeE <br /> <br />NO. 685 <br /> <br />4- <br />,..0 <br />AN ORDINANCE approving and confirminp': the~sse ssment aD:] the asseSB- <br />rnent roll certified to the Ci ty Council on the~th day of August, 1929, <br />by the Streets and Alleys Comrdttee and City EnQ'ineer for the costs of the <br />imrrovement in Local Improvement District No. 95 in the City of Auburn, in <br />pursuance of Ordinance No. 674, passed March 5, 1922, and providing for the <br />disposition of moneys collected on said assessment. <br /> <br />WHEREAS due notice has been given that objections to the assessment <br />and assessment roll hereinafter mentioned would be heard and determined by <br />tte City Council at the City Hall, Auburn, Washington, on the t'J)th day of <br />September, 1989, at 8:00 o'clock P. M., at which time the City bounci1 <br />would meet to hear appeals and objections of any and all persons claiming <br />to be aggrieved by said assessment; and <br /> <br />V'HEREA8 the time for filing objections or taking an appeal has passed <br />and no objections thereto have been so filed; and <br /> <br />WHEREfS the City Council has carefully examined and considered suoh <br />assessment and assessment roll and is now fully advised in the premises; <br /> <br />;WW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDA IN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the assessment and assessment roll certified to the <br />City Council on the 20th day of August, 1929, by the Streets and Alleys Com- <br />mittee and City Engineer of the City of Auburn, for the oosts of the improve- <br />ment of all that portion of Main street East, situate between E Street N. E. <br />a!ld R Street N. E., all in the C1 ty of Auburn, by the construction of a con- <br />crete and cement sidewalk six feet in width on the Northerly side of said <br />portion of said Main Street East, and by dOing of such other work as may be <br />necessary or proper to complete the improvement oonstituting Local Improve- <br />ment District No. 95, in the City of Auburn, in pursnanoe of Ordinance No. <br />674 of said City, passed March 5, 1929, and the levy and charge of the cost <br />of said improvement as shown upon said assessment roll and thereby appor- <br />tioned upon the adjoining, oontiguous and approximate lots and parcels of <br />land specially benefited, in aocordance with the laws of the State of Wash- <br />ington and Ordinance No. 674 of the City of Auburm, are hereby approved and <br />oonfirmed in all respects, and the City Treasurer 1S hereby direoted to col- <br />lect said assessment which may b~ paid without interest, penalty or costs <br />within thirty (30) days after due notice sha'll have been given to the owner <br />of the property within said assessment district by publication in the manner <br />provided by law, and if said assessments be not paid within said thirty (30) <br />days from the date of the first rJUblication of said -n"tioe, the same shall <br />bear interest thereafter at the rate of seven (7%) per cent, per annum. <br /> <br />Se'ctlon,;2. The moneys oolleoted upon said assessment, appr()ved>ta.ad-"",,,,'" <br />confirmed by this Ordinanoe, are hereby ordered to be plaoed in Local Im- <br />provement Fund, Distriot No. 95, the special fund created by Ordinance No. <br />674, and all warrants drllWIl and bonds issued for the payment f said-im- <br />provement shall be issued on and ;:Jayab1e only out of said local improvement <br />fund. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be jn force five (5) <br />days from and after ita passage, approval and publication as required by <br /> <br />law. <br /> <br />
