AN ORDINANCE deolaring a publio emergenoy to exist, requiring the
expenditure during the year 1929, from the ourrent expense fund of the
City of Auburn, of moneys not provided for in the budget for the year
1929, for the purpose of Court oosts and attorneys' fees and advertis-
ing the foreolosing of delinquent L. I. D. assessments, in aooordanoe
with State Law and in aooordanoe with Ordinanoe No. 688 for the City of
Auburn; estimating the amount of moneys required to meet suop ~m~ZgIPOY
and direoting that emergenoy warrants be drawn upon current expense fund
of the City of Auburn to meet suoh expenditures.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Seotion 1. That the following are faots: That the budget of est-
imated expenditures for the year 1929, which budget was duly adopted
by the City Counoil in Ootober, 1928, did not oontain any provision for
the foreolosing of delinquent L. I. D. assessments; that on Ootober 1,
1929, the City Counoil of the City of Auburn adopted Ordinanoe No. 688,
putting into effeot the State Law relative to foreolosing delinquent
L. I. D. assessments; that a great number of L. 1. D. assessments are
now delinquent, and in aooordanoe with State Law and in aooordanoe with
Ordinanoe No. 68H of the City of Auburh,( must be foreolosed; that to
oarry out the provisions in aooordanoe with the State Law and in aooor-
danoe with Ordinanoe No. 688 of the City of Auburn, it will be neoessary
to e.pend oertain sums of money in advertising, in Court oosts and attop-
neys' fees inoidental thereto.
Seotion 2. That, by reason of the faots stated in Seotion 1 of
this Ordinanoe, a pub1io emergenoy now exists requiring the expenditure
during the year 1929, from the ourrent expense fund of the City of Aub-
urn, of mIneys not provided for in the budget for.the year 1929 for the
purpose of foreolosing the delinquent L. I. D. assessments in the City
of Auburn, and for the expense of advertising, Court oo~~~ and attorneys'
fees; that suoh emergenoy oould not have been reasonab1YVToreseen at the
time of making the budget of estimated expenditures, from the ourrent
expense fund of the City of Auburn during the year 1929, whioh budget
was adopted by the City Council in Ootober, 1928, and that the estimated
amount of expenditures required to meet suoh emergenoy is the sum of
$600.00.
Seotion~. That emergenoy warrants be drawn on the current expense
fund of the City of Auburn in payment of oosts and expenses of foreolos-
ing delinquent L. I. D. assessments and the Court oosts, advertising and
attorneys' fees incidental thereto, to the amount of, but not to exoeed
the sum of $600.00 in the aggregate.
