BY ORD, No,..._ . 738 ORDDlANCE NO. 73& SECTION.L...LtLL...__ EEiEf.lED AIr ORDINANCE relating to and fixing the compensation to be paid to the City Clerk, the City Treasurer, the City Attorney, the City Realth Officer, and Police Judge, respectively, of the City of Auburn and prescribing when and how such compensation shall be paid. The City Counell of the City of Auburn do ordain as follows: Seotion 1. That as conpensation for the services required by the laws of the state of Washington or the ordinances of the City of Auburn to be performed by the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, said. City Clerk shall receive the sum of $115.00 per month beginning on the first l:!onday in June, A. D. 1933 and thereafter: that such oompensation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each mOnth next succeeding the month in which such services shall be performed by proper warrants drawn upon the treaSUl"l!lr of the City of Auburn. Section 2. That as oompensation for the services required by the laws of the state of llashington or the ordinances of the City of Auburn to be performed by the City Treasurer of the City of Auburn, said City Treasurer shall receive the sum of 0105.00 per month beginning on the first l:!enday in June, A. D. 1933 and thereafter: that such com- pensation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month next succeeding ,the month in which st-ch services shall be performed, by proper warrants drawn upon the treasurer of the City of Auburn: and that such warrants may be drawn upon either the Current EKpense Fund ~ the \1e.ter F1U1d of said city, as the City Council may direct. Section 3. That as cQffipensation for the services required by the laws of the State of Washington or the ordinances of the City of Auburn to be performed by the City Attorney of the City of Auburn, said City Attorney shall receive the sum of $50.00 per nonth beginning on the first Honday in June, A. D. 1933 and thereafter: that such oompen- sation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month next sucoeeding the month in which such services shall be perfermed, by proper wa.rrants drawn upon the treasurer of the City of Auburn. He shall, in addition thereto, b~ reimbursed by the City of Auburn for all moneys necessarily paid out by him for traveling or other expenses incurred by him in the performance of his duties as city attorney. That nothing contained in this section shall be construed a.s preventing the city council of the city of Auburn from employing special counsel to proseoute or defend any acti~l brought by er against the City of Auburn or against any city official or officials of said city in his, her or their official capaoity: that in fixing the compensation of the City Attorney at $50.00 per month as herein provided, it is con- templated that special oounsel will be employed in any action brought in the Superior Court or in any other oourt of record in whioh the City of Auburn or any offioial of said oity in his official oapacity shall be a party and in the proseeution and defense ef which consider- able legal labor will be required: that such special counsel, when SO employed, shall be employed by the City Counoil of the City of Auburn, and that, when sO employed, sueh special counsel shall be paid a reasonable compensation for his services. Section 4. That the Realth Officer of the City of Auburn, fer the period beginning on the first llonday in June, 1933 and there- after shall receive as compensation for his services as such Health Offioer the sum of $5.00 per month. Such compensation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month next succeeding the month in which such services shall have been performed, by warrants drawn upon the treas~r of satd. city and against the Current Expense Fund of said city. ~ .'," r ~ , ... r:- ># ... .. .'.- Section 5. Tha.t the Police Judge ef the City of Auburn shall receive as compensation for his services as such Police Judge the sum of ~20.00 per month for the period beginning on the first Monday in June, 1933 and thereafter. Such compensation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month next succeeding the month in which such services shall have been performed, by warrants drawn on the Current Ex:pense Fund of the City of Auburn. Such com- " pensation :ShaJ1;bein lieu of a.ny and all fees to the Police Judge, and any and all fees and fines to be paid te the Police Judge shall be by him paid to the Treasurer of the City of Auburn, taking the Treasurer's receipt therefor. Seotion 6. That a.ll ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
