HomeMy WebLinkAbout3030 ORDINANCE N0. 3 0 3 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONTNG OF A PARCEL OF LAND APPRQXIMATELY 4.5 ACRES IN SIZE LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF 29TH AND "M" STREET SOUTHEAST, SITUATE IN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM R-2 TO R-3. 0~% ~Y ~ WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of ~ Auburn, by EDITH B. CLARK, requesting the rezoning of the real property herein- ~ ~ after described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition was dated August 25, 1975; and ' WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, the Planning Corronission held a public hearing to consider said petition in the City Hall of the City of Auburn at 8:00 P.M. on October 7, 1975, at the conclusion of which the Commission determined that the most proper land use classification for the subject property should be R-3 (Residential Two Family Duplex) rather than R-4 (Multi-Family) as requested by the petition filed as here- inabove stated and recommended the approval thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City af Auburn held a public hearing in the City Hall of the City of Auburn, at 8:00 P.M. on November 3, 1975, at which time the City Council concurred with the recomnendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the following described property lacated on a parcel of land approximately 4.5 acres in size located at the northwest corner of 29th and "M" Street Southeast, situated in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2 (Single Family Dwellings) to R-3 (Residential Two Family Duplex), to-wit: The south 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 30, Township 21, North, Range 5 East, W.M., in King County, Washington, LESS roads; the tract in question being a tract lying at 11-13-75 Page One . ~ - • ~ the northwesterly corner of 29th St. SE and M St. SE, and having a description as follows: Beginning at the wood hub at the northeasterly corner of 29th St. SE and M St. SE, thence west along the north line of said street 663.70 feet more or less, to the wood hub at the southwest corner thereof; thence north 0°30' west ~ 390.51 feet more or less to a wood hub; thence north 89°15' 41" east 663.74 feet more or less to a wood hub at the west ''II line of M St. SE; thence south along the west line of M St. ~ SE 300.89 feet more or less to the point of beginning; LESS C\1 the north 100 feet of the east 130 feet thereof. ~ Lr) Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby approved. Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, Washington, is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor's Office. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
