AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND 3.45 ACRES IN SIZE LOCATED ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF AUBURN WAY SOUTH, EAST OF ACADEMY DRIVE, SITUATE
IN THE CITY OF AUBURN, GJASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFTCATION THEREOF FROM UNCLASSIFIED TO R-4.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of Auburn,
~ Washington, by ROSE E. BROWN and MARVIN and LAURA HENRY, requesting the rezoning

4 of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which
~ petition was dated October 9, 1975; and
~
~ WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the City Hall of the City of Auburn at 8:00 P.M. on November 4, 1975,
at the conclusion of which the Corrmission recommended the approval of the re-
zoning of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn held a public hearing
in the City Hall of the City of Auburn at 8:00 P.M. on December 1, 1975, at which
time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission
as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBllRN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property located at the Northeast
corner of Academy Drive and Auburn Enumclaw Highway, consisting of 3.45 acres in
size, situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and
the same is hereby rezoned from Unclassified to R-4 (Multi-Family), to-wit:
That portion of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section
27, Township 21 North, Range 5 E.W.M., described as follows: Be-
ginning at the Southeast corner of said Section 27; thence South
89°48'00" West along the South line of said Section 27, 1105.50
feet; thence North 00°32'00" East 1330.30 feet to the North line
of the South 1/2 of said Southeast 1/4; thence North 89°O1'00"
West along said North line 865.65 feet to the True Point df Se-
ginning; thence continuing West along said North line to the East
Right-of-Way line of Muckelshoot County Road; thence Southerly
along said East Right-of-Way line to a point on the Northerly
Right-of-Way line of State Highway No. 5, as conveyed to the State
of Washington by deeds recorded under Auditor's File Nos. 3663449,
3666794 and 3683045; thence Southeasterly along said Northerly Right-
of-Way line to a point from which the True Point of Beginning bears
North 00°32'00" East; thence North 00°32'00" East to the True Point
of Beginning; Situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State
of Washington.

Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the
City of Auburn encompassing this zoning use classification change, which amendment
is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby approved.
~ Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby authorized

~ Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and
after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
