AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON A PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED ON THE EAST
~ SIDE OF AUBURN WAY NORTH BETWEEN 702 AND 714 AUBURN WAY NORTH, WITH-
~ IN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
THEREOF FROM R-2 TO C-1.

0 WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of

Auburn, Washington, by YOHEI and EMMA HIKIDA, requesting the rezoning of the
real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which
petition was dated November 19, 1975; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the City Hall of the City of Auburn, at 8:00 P.M. on January 6, 1976,
at the conclusion of which the Commission recommended the approval of the rezoning
of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn held a public hearing in
the City Hall of the City of Auburn at 8:00 P.M. on February 2, 1976, at which
time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission
as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, TNE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property located between 702 and
714 Auburn Way North, situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of
Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2 (Single Family) to C-1
(Light Commercial), to-wit:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Section 18, Township
21, Range 5 E.W.M. and running Easterly along the North line
thereof 1082.5 feet to the East Right-of-Way Line of Auburn
Way North. Thence Southerly along said Right-of-Way Line 412.0
feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence East 103.35 feet to
a point; thence South 10.52 feet to a point; thence East 177.42
feet to the East Boundary Line of said property; thence South
70.60 feet to the South Boundary Line of said property; thence
West 323.67 feet to the West line of said property; thence North
90.0 feet along the East Right-of-Way Line of Auburn Way North,
to the True Point of Beginning, situate in the City of.Auburn,

County of King, State of Washington, less the West 150.0 ~ feet
lying para11e1 and adjacent to Auburn Way North that has previously
been zoned C-1 (Light Commercial). Said property also known as Tax
Lot 222.

of Government Lots 1 and 8 of Section 18, Township 21 North, Range
~ 5 E.W.M., as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said
Section 18, and running thence Easterly along the North Line there-
~ of 1175.42 feet; thence South 439.5 feet to the True Point of Be-
ginning; thznce continuing South 219.75 feet, more or less to the
North City Limits of the City of Auburn, King County, Washington,
thence Westerly along said North City Limits 442.45 feet, more or
less to the Easterly Line of Public State Highway No. 5; thence
Northerly along said Easterly Line of Highway 250.58 feet, more or
less to point west of the True Point of Beginning, thence East 232.67
feet, more or less to True Point of Beginning, situate in the City
of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, less part previously
zone C-1.
Secti on 2. That the amendment to the G4Mpr!~*ft4,Va- ZdMng Map of the Ci ty
of Auburn, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which amendment is
designated as*$OV 'kJ hereof, be and the same is hereby approved.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County
Auditor's Office.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and
after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
