CITY OF AUBURN , TO EXTEND THE COMMISSION UNTIL 4 5 6 WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Auburn Resolution No. 2117 7 approved on August 20, 1990, the City of Auburn entered into a cooperative Agreement with the white River Valley Historical Society to assist the Society to transform into a strong, 8 9 10 vibrant and secure organization for the good of the citizens 11 of Auburn Valley; and 12 13 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 4484 on January 23, 1991 and therein 14 created the Interim Museum Planning commission (IMPC) to develop a long range plan for the Society in terms of 15 16 governance, funding, and future management and staffing; and 17 WHEREAS, pursuant to section 5. 1 of the Agreement, the 18 duration of the Agreement is for a fifteen (15) month period 19 beginning no earlier than October 1, 1990 and concluding no later than April 15, 1992; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4484, the term of the IMPC expires on April 30, 1992; and ------------------------------- Ordinance No. 4554 March 5, 1992 Page 1 .-.--.".------ 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 "( 1 2 3 WHEREAS, the IMPC requires additional timE! to complete 4 the long range plan for the Society. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF AUBURN, 5 WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 section 1. section 2 of Ordinance No. 4484 is hereby 7 amended to provide for an extension of the exi,;tence of the 8 Interim Museum Planning commission from April 1'5, 1992 until 9 10 11 12 13 December 31, 1992 in order to complete the long range plan for the White River Valley Historical Society; Provided that, in the event new legislation is enacted and/or a new' agreement is executed which nullify the necessity to maintain the existence of the IMPC, this amendment authorizing an extension will be 14 void at the time of such enactment or execution. 15 section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement 16 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry 17 out the directions of this legislation. Section 3.
