AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE
APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM OF $278,000 1992-1993 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn must

adopt and approve all appropriations by ordinance pursuant to
7
Chapter 35A RCW;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.
Pursuant to Chapter 3 5A. 33 RCW, the City
11
hereby approves the expenditure and appropriation of $278,000
12

in 1992-1993 Community Development Block Grant funds, as
approved and recommended by the Planning & Communi ty
14
Development Committee of the City of Auburn.
The specific
15
expenditures are itemized in the attached Exhibit "A", which
is incorporated by reference in this Ordinance.
section 2. The project funds must be used to the benefit
of low and moderate income residents.
Funding for social
service programs is limited to fifteen percent (15%) of the
total grant amount. Twenty percent (20%) of the grant amount
may be used for program administration.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directives of this legislation.

Section 4.
This Ordinance shall be in force and take

effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
