section 1. The purpose of this amendment is to implement
a net decrease in sewer rates to include: a decrease in the
Metro wholesale rate and an increase to offset an inflation-
related rise in operating expenses. The amendment also
incorporates a Metro change in the residential customer

equivalent calculation (base consumption) from 900 to 750cf.

amended as follows:

the monthly sewer rates for Auburn residents will be as
follows:

Nonsingle-family accounts will be allowed

months of December through April to determine

the summer sewer rates for the months of June,

July, August, and September.

Nonsingle-family accounts without city

shall be charged at the

outside-the-city rate per one hundred cubic

hundred fifty cubic feet.
The customer shall
have installed a city supplied water meter or
other acceptable means of recording use, by
applying for a permit under section 13.04.110,

The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.

Section 4.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
16 force five days from and after its passage, approval and

pUblication as provided by law.
