AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING TO
THE CITY CERTAIN LAND CONTIGUOUS THERETO, TWO PARCELS OF
PROPERTY TOTALLING 3.48 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST
4 CORNER OF 4TH AND "V" STREETS S.E. (THE "WARD" ANNEXATION).
5 WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, the
owners of 100 percent of value according to the assessed
7 valuation for general taxation of certain lands in King
8 County, Washington, and more particularly described in Section
9 1 of this Ordinance, filed their petition with the City
10 Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, petitioning to have

annexed to the city of Auburn the said described land; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW various
13 proceedings were held; and

WHEREAS, notice of intention to annex was filed with the
]5 King County Boundary Review Board; and
WHEREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board has waived
17
review and, no request for jurisdiction having been filed, the

proposed annexation is deemed approved as a matter of law; and

WHEREAS, it appears to the City of Auburn, that said

annexation meets the requirements specified by law; the
procedure for the filing with the City of Auburn by the
22
requisite number of property owners of their notice of
23
intention to commence annexation proceedings, to and including
the consideration of the passage of this ordinance also meets

2 the requirements, specified by law; and the lands proposed to
be annexed are contiguous to the City of Auburn and have not
4 heretofore been incorporated in as a City or Town;
5 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 Section ~. That there shall be annexed to the City of
8 Auburn, Washington, the property situated in the County of
9 King, State of Washington, which legal description is
described as follows:

1] Lot 1 and Lot 2 of King County Short Plat
#181067 as recorded under auditor's file
12 #8109150581 together with that portion of
"V" Street S.E. (aka 104th Avenue S.E.)
15 and 4th Street S.E. (aka 332nd Street
S.E.) that abuts said lots 1 and 2; and
that portion of said 4th Street S.E. that
abuts lot 4 of King County Short Plat
#978144 as recorded under auditor's file
#7911010750; situated in the southwest
quarter of Section 17, Township 21, Range
5, E.W.M. County of King, State of
17 Washington.
18 Section Z. That the property hereby annexed shall be
19 assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
20 other property within the City of Auburn is assessed and taxed
21 to pay for any outstanding general indebtedness of the City to
22 which the area was annexed.

2 Section $. That the annexation of the property will
become effective on the effective date of this Ordinance and
4 the property shall become part of the City of Auburn, subject
5 to all of the laws and ordinances of the City then otherwise
6 provided by law.
Section 4. Within ten (10) days after the effective date

8 of the annexation referred to in this ordinance, the City
Clerk of the City of Auburn shall send to the Office of the
9
10 Clerk of the County Council one (1) certified copy of this
Ordinance together with a copy of a letter from the Executive
]2 Secretary of the King County Boundary Review Board, which
letter contains a copy of the decision of the Boundary Review
Board relating to this annexation.

15 Sectio~ 5. The City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall
file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County
17 Department of Assessments, Accounting Division.
18 Section 6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
20 out the directions of this legislation.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
22 force five days from and after its passage, approval and
23 publication as provided by law.
