WHEREAS, inquiry has been made as to the ,establishment date of the Auburn Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has conducted a review of various city records and minutes and found that the minutes of September 20, 1920, regular session, City Council, read as follows: "Mayor Ester appointed Mr. C. Fire Chief with power deputies"; and W.
