AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RATIFYING AND
$ CONFIRMING ORDINANCE NO. 4293 WHICH ESTABLISHED THE AUBURN
CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA (BIA) LATER CALLED THE
4 AUBURN DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION (ADA).

6 WHEREAS, the Auburn Central Business Improvement Area
7 (BIA), now known as the Auburn Downtown Association (ADA) was
established by Ordinance No. 4293, which passed and approved
8
on July 5, 1988; and

]0 WHEREAS, certain questions have arisen concerning the
affidavit of publication and publication of this Ordinance;
and

WHEREAS, to resolve any potential questions, legal
14 opinions suggest that the City Council ratify and confirm the
prior Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
]7 WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
]8 Seotion 1. City of Auburn Ordinance No. 4293,
19 establishing the Auburn Central Business Improvement Area
20 (BIA), now known as the Auburn Downtown Association (ADA),
21 which is hereby attached as Exhibit "1" and incorporated by
22 reference as if set out in full, is ratified and confirmed in
23 all respects.
24 Seotion Z. If any provision of this Ordinance, or
25 Ordinance No. 4293 is determined to be invalid or
26

2 unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this
Ordinance and Ordinance No. 4293 shall be in force and effect.
4 Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
5 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.
seo~:ion 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in

force five days from and after its passage, approval and
8
9 publication as provided by law.
