HomeMy WebLinkAbout4813 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINANCE NO. 4 8 i 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4738 WHICH ORDINANCE APPROVED THE 1995-1996 APPROPRIATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO REALLOCATE UNUSED FUNDS. WHEREAS, certain 1995-1996 Community Development Block Grant funds appropriated to Auburn Youth Resources remain unused; and WHEREAS, certain 1995-1996 Community Development Block Grant funds appropriated to the City of Auburn Community Development Block Grant Revolving Loan Fund remain unused; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Housing Repair Program for low income residents is in need of additional funds; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of establishing a program planning project to evaluate the youth center concept and potentially develop a format for its implementation; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 20, 1996 regarding the reallocation of 1995-1996 Community Development Block Grant funds to the Housing Repair Program and to program planning; and WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council directed that an ordinance be prepared amending the existing ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Ordinance No. 4813 November 22, 1995 Page I CITY ATTORNEY City of Auburn 25 W. Auburn City Ordinance No. 4738 is hereby amended to reallocate 1995-1996 Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $120,000 in the following manner: 1. One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) to assist in the rehabilitation of dwellings through the City of Auburn Housing Repair Program; and 2. Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) to assist in program planning for the potential development of a youth center and/or other program for youth. Section 2. The project funds must be used to the benefit of low and moderate income residents. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may out the directives of this legislation. Section 4.
