AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN
WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 10.36 STOPPING
STAI~DING AND PARKING, BY AMENDING SECTION 10.36.255
OBSTRUCTING POST OFFICE BOXES PROHIBITED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

City Code Chapter 10.36, Stopping,
specifically Section 10.36.255
Obstructing post office boxes prohibited, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
10.36.255 Obstructing post office boxes prohibited.
From and after the effective date of the
ordinance codified in this section, it shall be a
violation of the ordinances of the city to stop,
stand or park a motor vehicle upon the public
highways or public places of the city, except for
the purpose of depositing or picking up mail,
directly adjacent to curbside, clearly visible,
residential mail boxes between ((10;0O a.m. and 3:00
p.m.)) 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 D,~, on all days of

scheduled mail delivery by the United States Postal
Service.
~ The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.
~ This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
