AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY OF AUBURN COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING MAP TO APPLY THE NEWLY CREATED LEA HILL (LH) DISTRICT
DESIGNATIONS TO THE SOUTHWEST PORTION OF THE LEA HILL
POTENTIAL ANNEXATION AREA IN ANTICIPATION OF ANNEXING THAT
AREA.
WHEREAS, The City Council has begun to annex a portion of the Lea Hill
Potential Annexation Area (PAA) and has approved the Southwest Lea Hill
Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on December 7., 1999 conducted a
Public Hearing on updating and amending the City's Comprehensive Zoning Map
to apply the newly created Lea Hill (LH) District Designations to the southwest
portion of the Lea Hill Potential Annexation Area in anticipation of annexing that
area; and
WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council on January 18, 2000 conducted its
own Public Hearing on updating and amending the City's Comprehensive Zoning
Map to apply the newly created Lea Hill (LH) District Designations to' t�e �- .- I
southwest portion of the Lea Hill Potential Annexation Area in anticipation of
annexing that area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

Section 1. Purpose. To approve an amendment to the City of Auburn
Comprehensive Zoning Map in order to apply the newly created Lea Hill (LH)
District Designations to the southwest portion of the Lea Hill Potential Annexation
Area.
Section 2. Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein does hereby . amend the City of Auburn Comprehensive
Zoning Map as provided therein to apply the newly created Lea Hill (LH) District
Designations to the southwest portion of the Lea Hill Potential Annexation Area in
anticipation of annexing that area.

- Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to
o be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph,
subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application

thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder
"' of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or
circumstances.
Section 4. Upon the passage, approval and publication of this Ordinance
as provided by law, the City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall cause this Ordinance
to be recorded in the office of the King County Auditor, Division of Records 49d)
Elections.

Section 5. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the
directions of this legislation.
Section 6. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
