ORDINANCE NO. 5 3 5 7 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, <br />WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />AUBURN, KENT, RENTON AND TUKWILA KNOWN AS "THE VALLEY COM <br />AGREEMENT' TO APPROVE ENTRY OF FEDERAL WAY AS A FULLY <br />PARTICIPATING MEMBER, TO APPROVE EACH MEMBER CITY PAYING <br />TWENTY PERCENT OF THE COST OF A'NEW DISPATCH FACILITY AND TO <br />CLARIFY CERTAIN SECTIONS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the participating cities of Auburn, Kent, Renton and Tukwila <br />entered into an Interlocal Agreement on August 20, 1976, as approved by <br />Resolution 739 and modified said Agreement on January 21, 1985, as approved <br />by Resolution 1558, and modified said Agreement on May 17, 1993, as approved <br />by Resolution 2416 (hereinafter referred to as the "Valley Com Agreement") to <br />establish a public safety and emergency services communications center known <br />as the Valley Communications Center (hereinafter referred to as '~/alley Com"); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way has requested to become a fully <br />participating Member City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the interlocal agreement requires amendment to approve the <br />entry of the City of Federal Way as a partner in the Valley Communication <br />Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Member Cities desire to construct a new dispatch facility <br />with each Member City paying twenty percent (20%)-of the total cost of <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 5357 <br />April 17, 2000 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
