HomeMy WebLinkAbout5400 ORDINANCE NO. 5 4 0 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, TO AMEND AUBURN CITY CODE SECTION 3.04.460 ENTITLED "SPECIAL PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMS TRUST FUND" CONTAINED IN AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 3.04 ENTITLED "FUNDS" TO INCREASE THE PETTY CASH AND CHANGE FUND FOR THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn deems it necessary to increase the "Special parks and recreation programs trust fund" petty cash and change fund by Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for a total sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Purpose. Auburn City Code Section 3.04.460 entitled "Special parks and recreation programs trust fund" contained in Chapter 3.04 entitled "Funds" is amended to increase the petty cash and change fund balance by Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for a total sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Ordinance 5400 May 18, 2000 Page I Section 3. The finance director is authorized to establish for the benefit and use of the parks and recreation department, a petty cash and change fund in the sum of $300.00 $600.00 to be used for the purposes of purchasing incidental supplies and making change. The city finance director upon the request of the parks and recreation director shall reimburse that fund from time to time for expenditures outstanding to make a cash balance of a maximum of $300.00 $600.00 available at any one time in said fund. B. Pursuant to the authority granted by RCW 35.21.100 of the laws of the state, there is established in the treasury of the city a new fund and such fund is established and designated as the "special parks and recreation programs trust fund." C. The special parks and recreation programs trust fund shall be used for the purpose of receiving gifts and donations of moneys to said fund for such special parks and recreation programs and shall be expended for the purpose of maintaining and/or providing equipment for such special parks and recreation programs and for such other special purposes as any Ordinance 5400 Exhibit "A" Page 1
