HomeMy WebLinkAbout5425 ORDINANCE NO. 5 4 2 5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF 33-15 LB. CARBON DIOXIDE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, TO BE USED BY THE AUBURN FIRE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn desires to accept the donation by the Federal Aviation Administration, of 33 - 15 Ib. Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers valued at $2,970.00 for use by the Auburn Fire Department; and. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn has determined that such donation is for a public purpose and in the best interest of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is to accept the donation by the Federal Aviation Administration of 33 - 15 Ib.. Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers valued at $2,970.00 for use by the Auburn Fire Department for public fire extinguisher training courses and does hereby accept the donation. Section 2. Acceptance And Aqreement. The City hereby approves the Acceptance of the donations itemized in Section 1 above and Ordinance No. 5425 July 27, 2000 Page I determines that such acceptance is in the public interest and for the public purpose set forth in Section 1 above. Section 3. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
