AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 10.36,
SECTION 300, ENTITLED "PROHIBITED PARKING AREAS - NORTHWEST
AUBURN," SECTION 320 ENTITLED "PROHIBITED PARKING AREAS -
SOUTHWEST AUBURN," SECTION 370 ENTITLED "FIFTEEN-MINUTE
PARKING ZONES," AND SECTION 380 ENTITLED "ONE-HOUR PARKING
ZONES," FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROHIBITING ON-STREET PARKING ON
A PORTION OF THE EAST SIDE OF "A" STREET NW AND A PORTION OF
THE NORTH SIDE OF 2ND STREET SW.
WHEREAS, the construction of City Project No. PR633, "A" Street SW
Reconstruction, has resulted in the reconfiguration of A Street SW, and
includes the addition of left turn lanes on "A" Street NW and 2nd Street SW; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to prohibit on-street parking on a portion of
the east side of "A" Street NW and a portion of the north side of 2nd Street SW
to accommodate the left turn lanes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Auburn
City Code Chapter 10.36, Section 300, entitled "Prohibited Parking Areas -
Northwest Auburn," Section 320 entitled "Prohibited Parking Areas - Southwest
Auburn," Section 370 entitled "Fifteen-Minute Parking Zones," and Section 380
entitled "One-Hour Parking Zones," as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto

and incorporated herein by this reference to prohibit on-street parking on a
portion of the east side of "A" Street NW and a portion of the north side of 2nd
Street SW to accommodate the left turn lanes.
Section 2. Constitutionality Or Invalidity: If any section, subsection,
clause, phrase, or sentence, of this Ordinance, is for any reason held to be
invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality of the remaining
portions of this ordinance, as it is being hereby expressly declared that this
ordinance and each section, subsection, clause, phrase, or sentence, hereof
would have been prepared, proposed, adopted, and approved and ratified
irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsection, clause,
~hrase, or sentence, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
~mplement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directions of this legislation.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval, and publication, as
provided by law.

10.36.300 Prohibited parking areas- Northwest Auburn.
Northwest Auburn prohibited parking areas are as follows:
1st Street Northwest, north side, from the west curbline of North Division Street,
thence west 70 feet.
'1 st Street Northwest, south side, from the east curbline of "A" Street Northwest,
easterly to the west curbline of North Division Street.
2nd Street Northwest, south side, beginning at the west curbline of "^" Street
Northwest, and thence extending west to the east Burlington Northern Railway
right-of-way line.
2nd Street Northwest, north side, beginning at the west curbline of "A" Street
Northwest, and thence extending west a distance of 60 feet.
3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the east curbline of "C" Street
Northwest and the west curbline of North Division Street.
3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the west curbline of "C" Street
Northwest and the east curbline of "D" Street Northwest.
14th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the

From this point westerly to the easternmost edge of SR 181 (West Valley
Highway), parking is prohibited.
16th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 16th Street.
From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest.
29th Street Northwest, both sides, from its intersection with "M" Street Northwest
to its eastern termination as a cul-de-sac.
30th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 30th Street.
From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest.
37th Street Northeast/Northwest, north and south sides, from the east end of SR
167 bridge over-crossing to Auburn Way North.
"A" Street Northwest, east side, from the south curbline of 1st Street Northwest,

"^" Street Northwest, west side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of

10.36.320 Prohibited parking areas - Southwest Auburn.
Southwest Auburn prohibited parking areas are as follows:
1st Street Southwest, north side, between the west curbline of "C" Street
Southwest and the east curbline of "D" Street Southwest.
1st Street Southwest, north side, between the west curbline of "E" Street
Southwest and the east curbline of "F" Street Southwest.
2nd Street Southwest, north side, between the west curbline of Division Street
and the east curbline of "A" Street Southwest.
3rd Street Southwest, both sides, between the west curbline of Division Street
and the east curbline of "C" Street Southwest.
15th Street Southwest, both sides, between the west curbline of "C" Street
Southwest and the easternmost edge of the West Valley Highway.
15th Street Southwest, north side, beginning at a point 645 feet west of the west
curbline of "C" Street Southwest and continuing west 700 feet.

10.36.370 Fifteen-minute parking zones.
The owner or operator of a vehicle shall not stop or park such vehicle for a longer
continuous time than 15 minutes of any day uPon the following named streets
and avenues in the city:
North Division Street, west side, beginning at a point 21 feet south of the south

10.36.380 One-hour parking zones.
A one-hour parking limit without meters is established on the following streets,
which one-hour parking limit shall exist from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily,
excluding Sundays and holidays:
1st Street Northeast, north side, between Auburn Way North and a point 106 feet
west.
1st Street Northeast, south side, between "B" Street Northeast and Auburn Way
North.
1st Street Northeast, south side, between North Division Street and Auburn
Avenue.
1 st Street Northwest, both sides, between the west curbline of "A" Street
Northwest and the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest.
4th Street Northeast, south side, beginning at a point 108 feet west of the west
curbline of "J" Street Northeast easterly to a point 78 feet east of the west
curbline of "J" street Northeast.
