<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6236 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING <br /> SECTION 13.06.511 OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE <br /> RELATING TO WATER UTILITY SERVICE FEES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Auburn endeavors to set. its fees at appropriate <br /> <br /> amounts reflective of the costs involved; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, particularly in the current economic climate, it is appropriate <br /> <br /> that the fees be evaluated in terms of ensuring that the proper amount of fees are <br /> <br /> included in the City's fee schedules; and . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon evaluation of the fee amounts for delinquent shut off of <br /> <br /> water utilities, it was determined that a$25.00 charge would be sufficient rather <br /> <br /> than the current charge which escalates up to $95.00 for consecutive shut offs; <br /> <br /> and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the City Code be amended to reflect a <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> single shut off charge of $25.00. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, <br /> <br /> WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Amendment to Citv Code. That section 13.06.511 of <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the Auburn City Code be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 13.06.511 Fees, service charges, fines, penalties and damage. <br /> A. Service Charge.
