3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY=COUNCIC OF_THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, REPEALING
4 AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 5.80.050 RELATING TO TAXICAB DRIVER'S
LICENSE AND ENACTING A NEW AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 5.80:050
5 TO REPLACE THE SAME.
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 5.80.050 pertaining to taxicab
8 driver's license is upon the effective date of this Ordinance repealed.
. 9~ Section 2. There is herewith enacted a new. Auburri Codified City Ordinance .
10 5.$0.050 pertaining to taxicab driver's license--initial fee, which shall
• 11 read as follows, to-wit: '
12 "5.80.050 Dr.i'ver's License--Initial Fee--Application Investigation.
13 When an application for a for-hire driver's license, duly,signed:and
14 sworn to and accompanied by the required fifteen dollar ($15.00) ini-
15 tial license fee, has been "received by the City Clerk with applica-
16 tion forwarded to,the Chief of, Police, he shall investigate the

17 statements contained therein, and may obtain such other information
lg , concerning the applicant's character, integrity, personal.habits,
19 past conduct and general qualifications as will show the applicant's
20 ability and skill as a driver of a tax.icab, and his honesty,
' 21 integrity and character for the purpose.of determining whether the
22 applicant is a suitable person to drive a taxicab within the City.
23 Al1 applications for for-hire driver's licenses shall become nu91 and
24 void after sixty days,from date of fi}ing, if the applicant for any
25 reason fails or neglects to obtain a license."
26 Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
