AN ORDINANCE-;OF THE CITY•OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND 2.82 ACRES IN SIZE LYING ON,THE NORTH SIDE OF AUBURN WAY
SOUTH IN THE 3600 BLOCK,' WITHIN THE CITY OF.AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIF~ICATION THEREOF FROM R-2 WITH A SPECIAL PROPERTY USE
. PERMIT TO R-4 AND C-1.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
Auburn, Washington, by THE SOUTH KING COUNTY ACTIVITY CENTER, requesti,ng the
rezoning.of the real property"hereinafter described in Section l of this
, Ordinance,'which petition was dated September 18, 1978; and ,
WHEREAS,.said request above referred to, was referred.to the Planning
Commission 6y-the Auburn City Council for study and putilic hearing thereon;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission.held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Auburn School District Admi_nistration Building.Board Room, on '
October 3, 1978, at 7:30 P.M.,.at which'time the matter was tabled to deter-
mine if there is adequate wAter avaiTable; and , WHEREAS, the Planning Commission.held-a public hearing to consider said • ,
petition in tFie Council Chambers of. the Auburn City Hall, on August 5, 1980,
at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion ofwhich the Planning Commission recormnended
the City.Council approve the request because it will conform to our Comp"rehensive Land Use Plan and..it will conform to the recommendations of the
'Citizens Land Use Committee for. this area that were approved by the Planning
Commission and City Council, and that :the ordinance approving the zoning be
tabled until the water question is•resolved by the courts or the law suit is
withdrawn; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of;the. City of Auburn, held a public hearing i
in the Council Chambers of.the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on September 2,
1980, at which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the
Planning Commission, and fu'rther, that the ordinance be tabled until the'water
question is resolved by the court or the law suit is withdrawn; and
WHEREAS, the law suit above referred to, PEREZ vs CITY OF AUBURN has now
been resolved.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE 6ITY COUNCIL OF.THE.CITY OF, AUBURN, WASHINGTON, -00
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property located.on a'parcel of
land 2.82 acres in size lying on £he north side of Auburn Way South in~the•
3600 block, situate in the,City of Auburn, County of King, State of :

Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2 (Residential) w.ith a
Special,Property Use Permit to R-4 (Multi-Family),and C-1 (Light Commercial)
