AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURV, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND APPROXIMATELY 27,000 SQ. FT. IN SIZE LOCATED ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF 8TH ST. N.E. IN THE 700 BLOCK, WITHIN THE CITY
OF AUBURN, 6dASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF

WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
L0 Auburn, Washington, by WILLIa'N A. VANCE and GEROLD HARRELL, requesting the
R,
t"- rezoning of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this
Ordinance, which petition was dated February 18, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
p eti.tion in the City Hall of the City of Auburn, at 7:30 P.M. on March 8, 1977,
at the conclusion of which the Commission recommended the approval of the rezoning
of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn held a public hearing in
the City Hall of the City of Auburn, at 8:00 P.M. on April 4, 1977, at which time.
the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission as
hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUaURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property located on the north side
of 8th Street N.E. in the 700 block approximately 27,000 sq. ft. in size, situate
in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and the same is
hereby rezoned from R-2 (Single Family) and R-3 (Duplex) to R-4 (Multi-Family),
to-wit:
Parcel 1. Lot 46-47, Block 14, C.D. Hillmans Auburndale
Div #2, Lot 47 and W 25 ft of Lot 46 less N 138 ft thof
measuring along W sd ln of Lot 47.

Parcel 2. Lot 48 and 49, Block 14, C.D. Hillmans Auburn-
da e~D~v #2, N 1/2 situated in Section 7, Twp 21 y, Range
5 EWM and located in the City of Auburn, County of King,
State of Washington. Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the
City of Auburn, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which
amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby
p approved.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby

authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the ,

King County Auditor's Office.
~ Section 4. That this Qrdinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as
provided by law.
