HomeMy WebLinkAbout6409ORDINANCE NO. 6 4 0 9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 10.40.020 OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE RELATING TO OFF-STREET MUNICIPAL PARKING WHEREAS, the City of Auburn holds an International Farmer's Market during between June 1 and September 30 of each year; and, WHEREAS, the parking lot located at 23 "A" Street, which is used as short-term commuter parking during the week, is uniquely situated to be used to support customer parking for the Market; and, WHEREAS, City staff recommends that parking in this lot be restricted to Market parking on those days when the Market operates. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Amendment to City Code. That section 10.40.020 of the Auburn City Code be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: 10.40.020 Municipal off-street parking facilities. A—Unless posted otherwise, or as otherwise indicated in ACC 10.40.035 or in this or another section of the city code, the municipal off-street parking facilities operated by the city listed hereinbelow are established as three- hour nonmetered parking zones, which three-hour parking limitation shall exist from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, excluding Sundays and holidays: 1. 110 "A" Street NW (parcel number 0492000370); 2. 115 "A" Street NW (parcel number 0492000461) fl�); 3. 11 "A" Street NW (parcel number 7816200100); 4. 36W. Vehicles parked in violation of this subsection may be immediatelv towed. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the Ordinance No. 6409 May 14, 2012 Page 2 of 3 application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 5. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law, and as provided herein.
