ORDINANCE NO. 2496
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE
VACATION OF'A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET RIGHTcOF-WAY SITUATE WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF AUBURN; RESERVING AN EASEMENT THEREIN TO THE CITY OF AUBURN
FOR ALL PUBLlC UTILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City~ouncil of the City of Auburn have passed and adopted Resolution
No. 423 resolving that a public hearing shall be had for the purpose of determining
whether or not the following described portion of street right-of-way situate West of
Auburn Way North, East of "C" Street N.W. and North of 30th Street N.E., lying within

the corporate limits of the .City of Auburn shall be vacated; said portion to be vacated
being hereinafter legally described in,Section 1 of this 'Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, notice of public hearing'to vacate the portion of street right-of-way
West of Auburn Way North, East of '~C" Street N.W. and North of 30th Street N.E., within
the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, in the time and manner provided by law,
giving notice that the hearing on said Resolution No. 423 was to be held on the 8th
day of September, 1970, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the
City of Auburn, and no objections thereto were filed with the City Clerk or presented
to the City Council at said hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, having deemed that the petition for vacation was proper
and that no vested rights would be affected by-the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described portion of street right-of-way situate
West of Auburn Way North, East of C Street N.W. and North of 30th Street N.E., within
the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, more particularly described as follows:
The N 30 ft EXCEPT the W 30 ft. and E 30 Ft. of the foll desc. property:
That portion of the H.H. Jones D.C. No. 39 in Section 6, T 21 N, R 5 E,
W.M. in King Co., Wash. desc. as foll: Beg at the SW corner of H.H.
Jones D.C. No. 39 th N 89006' E 989.35 ft; th N 0055'30" W 530 ft. to
the TPOB; said point being marked by a concrete monument; th N 0055'30"
W 501.8 ft. to the S line of Bonneville Power Administration Easement;
th S 89008'45" W along said line 497.27 ft; th S 0053'30" E 502.27 ft.;
th N 89006' E 497.66 ft. to the TPOB.
be and the same is hereby vacated, and the property lying in said portion of the street
right-of-way described hereinabove, shall be returned and belong to the abutting property
owners, KENNETH THOMPSON and GEORGE BELDEN, of said portion of street right-of-way
situate Wes t of Auburn Way North, East of "c" Street N. W. and North of 30th Street N. E. ,

subject to easements reserved therein on the Northerly 10 feet of the above described
property to the City of Auburn for all public utilities.
Section 2. That this lirdinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
