; Old Busiaess:
I • CeinSites Cemetery Software Update - CemSites is going well. Transition into
the new sbftware has'left some dirty data from the HMIS old software that
j will take probably l-2 years to clean. HMIS still in business but after talldng
to other cemeteries it felt better going cdith CemSites.
• Office Assistant- Position will go fhrough City Council in November.
Approved for next year's budge[.
e Booth Modular Home - Working on getting rid of it. Currently cemetery pays
close to $500 a month to lock up/security and it will in the best interest of
the cemetery to have someone on'location.
New Busineas•
• Merriory Heights Developinent- The cemetery had 650 tons of sandy loam
brought in. Everything was spread out, kiydro seeded and starting tio see ;
grass. Before the end of the year it will be rriowed. Next year will be ,
measured out, fenced and irrigated: The cemetery hasn't had problerrms with -
water so far. Recently cleaned up grave piles. TruGreen came up and laid
down"a fall application of the fertilizer and pesticide.
e New Columbariuin - The new coluinbarium is a 95 niche that will have an
eagle on top. The eagle and the columbaritun are made out of granite with
granite foundation. It should be at the cemetery mid to late fall. The most
expensive niche will be $3,800. Just in niches is projected to have $300,000
in revenues.

I .
• , Family Estates - Mrs. Harkey would like to move her husband's cremains,
who is currendy in Forest Walk, to a private family area. Currently, Mrs.
Harkey has a private columbarium and she would like an area that stands
alone wi[h "Forest Wall' look. There is an area just outside Forest Walk that
could tie develop for that piu-pose. It wouldn't have any fencing or walls.
This area will have to comply with the policies and procedures of the
cemetery..People will be able to wallc in there. Board recommends to stay
away from the word "privafe° and use "built-to-suit". Basically the cemetery
will be pre-selling an area to develop in the near future. The revenues
generated by this project could be used for other potential projects at the
, . cemetery. The cemetery ivill designate Family Estate areas to offer to public.
' This will open more options to the coirimunity..
• Gapon Upright Monument-The Gapon family purchased an upright
. _ - moriument without consulting with the cemetery. The memorial was.dropped
' off at Pacific Coast Memorial where pictures were taken and sent to Craig.
The monument is not in good condition and part marble, which is not
allowed per cemetery policy and prbcedures. Because of material and poor
condition the board voted not to approve this monument at the cemetery.
