HomeMy WebLinkAbout196 ORDINANCE No . 196 . AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF TYNDALE AVENUE IN THE TO\TN OF AUBURN-, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON. v.. WHEREAS heretofore, to—grit : on the 15th day of April, A .D. , 1912, all of the owners of property fronting on the north and south sides of that portion of Tyndale Avenue, situate between Brannan Street and Thompson Street in Auburn, King County, Washington, caused to be filed in the office of the town clerk of the town of Auburn a petition, addressed to the Mayor and Town Council of said town, praying that the following portions of Tyndale Avenue, in the Town of Auburn, King County, Washington, particularly bounded and described as follows, to—wit : -- Beginning at a point on the east boundary line of Brannan Street in the town of Auburn, 14.11 feet west of the Southwest corner of Block 2 of Milner, King County, W.T. , running thence south along the said east line of Brannan Street for a distance of ten feet to a point, thence east •along a line parallel With and ten feet distance from the south lite of said Block 2 to a point ten feet east and ten feet south of the Southeast corner of said Block 2, thence north a distance of ten feet to a point ten feet east •o.f:-the Southeast corner of said Block 2, thence west along the south line of said Block 2 to the point and place of beginning; Also beginning at a point on the east boundary line of Brannan Street in the Town of Auburn, 13 .06 feet west of the Northwest corner of Block 5 of Milner, King County, W.T. , running thence north a distance of ten feet to a point, thence east along a line parallel with the north line of said Block 5 and ten feet distance therefrom to a point ten feet north and ten feet east of the northeast corner of said Block 5 , thence south a distance of ten feet to a point ten feet east of the northeast corner of said Block 5, thence west along the north line of said Block 5 to the point and place of beginning, in the Town of Auburn, King County, Washington, ' be vacated; that the ordinance vacating the same shall provide that the title to said portions of Tyndale Avenue so vacated shall vest in the owner of the abutting property; and that the Town Council of said the Town of Auburn pass a resolution fixing a time and place when and where said petition should be heard and determined, and, WHEREAS, the council of said The Town of Auburn, at a regular meeting thereof duly held on the 1st day of May, A.D. , 1912, at the —1— ff'�� — - �___ town hall in the said The Town of Auburn, duly passed a resolution fixing the 5th day of June, A.D. , 1912, at 3 o ' clock P.M. of said day,at the town hall in the said The Town of Auburn,as the time and place when and Where said petition should be heard and determined and directing the town clerk of said The Town of Auburn to give 20 days notice of the pendency- of said petition by a written or printed notice, said notice to be set up in three of the most public places of the Town of Auburn,and alike notice set up in a conspicious place on the portions of the street sought to be vacated, said notice to con— tain a statement that a petition has been filed to vacate said street together with the statement of the time and place fixed for the bear— . ing of said petition; and, Whereas, the Council of said The Town of Auburn, at a regular meeting thereof duly held on the 5th day of June, A.D. , 1912, at 3 o ' clock P.M. , at the town hall in the said The Town of Auburn, duly . continued the time of the hearing upon_ said petition to the 3rd day of July, A.D. , 1912; and, Whereas, on this 3rd day of July, A.D ., 1912, said petition having been brought up regularly before the council of said.
