HomeMy WebLinkAbout1431 • • ORDINANCE NO. 14 31 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OP AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PRO- VIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF AUBURN. WHEREAS, Doris S. Cugini, Josephine Cugini, and H. Sarkowsky have filed a written petition with the City of Auburn to vacate a portion of a certain street located in the City of Auburn, Washington, as hereinafter described, said petitioners being the owners of all property abutting the portion of said street to be vacated, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn has passed and adopted a written resolution resolving that a public hearing be held upon said petition for the purpose of determining whether or not the following described portion of Hemlock Street Southeast in the City of Auburn should not be vacated, said property being described as : The North 631.02 feet of Hemlock Street Southeast as recorded thereon in the Plat of Forest Villa on file with the County Auditor, situate in the County of King, State of Washington. and WHEREAS, notice of public hearing to vacate said street was given by the City Clerk of the City of Auburn by the City Clerk posting three copies of said notice in three public places in the City of Auburn, and a like notice was posted in a conspicuous place on the street sought to be vacated, giving notice that the hearing on said petition was to be held on the 7th day of February, 1961, at 8:00 P.M. , in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Auburn, and WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly called and had on the 7th day of February, 1961, at 8:00 P.M. in the City of Auburn, and no objections to the proposed vacation was filed at said hearing, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF AUBURN, WASH- INGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a portion of a certain street in the City of Auburn, known as Hemlock Street Southeast and described as : The North 631.02 feet of Hemlock Street Southeast as recorded thereon in the Flat of Forest Villa on file with the County Auditor, situate in the County of King, State of Washington be and the same is hereby vacated and the property lying in said. Page One • street shall be returned and belong to the abutting property owners of the above said street. Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect 5 days from and after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
